1.9 - Metal Hellsinger (VR Mod)
Rating: ⭐⭐
Notes:
This flat PC game needs to be modded to work in VR (and can be modded to work with bHaptics and a ProVolver) and works very well with my C2. It has a “dash” feature (like teleport movement as opposed to a faster run speed) that can be bound to the movement Joystick press button in the Gateway by selecting “Run Source” (as in the game) to “Press/Push.” This means once you physically walk at a fast enough speed it will engage the dash movement in game. This is fun but less precise than pushing the dash button on the controller, especially since you cannot specify the speed at which dash activates. However since attacking on beat per this rhythm game is already a lot to think about, it might be easier to set this to press/push. I have a video with gameplay with the C2 on my YouTube channel:
You can find the mod here
Rating Info:
Walking speed realism: It appears to be a fixed walking speed that is relatively low regardless of real world/C2 walking running speed but the dash feature makes up for it. (3 points)
World Size: The game has one small or moderate sized world that is easy to navigate. (2 points)
Responsiveness: The game is responsive to the user’s movements with minimal delays or inaccuracies. (3 points)
Sprinting: Sprinting is done by Dashing (1 points)
Sprinting mechanic: There is only Quick Dash movement (1 point)
Decoupled head/body: Yes, by default

Rating (1-3)
⭐
Notes
It is capable of linear locomotion by joystick sensitivity testing, but does not respond accordingly with the Kat Walk C.
Scoring explanaion:
Apex Construct does not require a Joystick Press in order to sprint. There is no sprint, although variable speeds exist, when using the Kat Walk C alone, it is always simply “fast”. There are several isolated maps, which are each somewhat narrow. The movement speed is always fast. Reggardless of the Gateway settings. The game does not support decoupled head-body movement. Rating (1-3)
⭐⭐
Notes
It feels different between the Prologue(demo) and the main game “Boiling Steel”
Scoring explanation:
Boiling Steel does not require a Joystick Press in order to sprint. But there is a Dash movement on button activation. It dashes you forward if you are actively walking, and backwards when you are standing still. There world is large and the game feels like a story-driven RPG. The movement speed feels too slow to be realistic. The game does support decoupled head-body movement. It was tested on a Oculus Rift S on the Kat Walk C2+

2.34 - Risk of Rain 2 (VR Mod)
Rating (1-3)
⭐⭐⭐
Notes
If it’s not working, the Gateway goes to strange defaults when this mod is on, make sure it’s on the usual settings: Body decoupled, JStick controller, etc. HIGHLY recommend autosprint mod, and item-sharing mod, because going into VR at all is significantly more difficult than playing normally, given that the #1 survival strategy is dodging/running, for 85% of playtime on even the easiest level, and even more on anything more difficult.
Scoring explanation:
There is enormous world to explore. The game speed might not be realistic. But it is fast and that is perfect for this game.
This game was tested on a Oculus Rift S using the Kat Walk C2 on Gateway 2.1.0.

2.35 - Saber Fight VR
Rating (1-3)
⭐⭐
Notes
Its not perfect, but not bad. It is significantly better than without a Kat Walk. THe direction is a bit odd.
Scoring explanation:
Saber Fight VR does not require a Joystick Press in order to sprint. There are small randomly generated factory maps, its not aesthetically interesting, however, it is largely about the practive of lightsaber and force wielding, with the walking as a side effect. The movement is fast and abrubt. Needs to be revisit to test settings. It is not sure if the game supports decoupled head-body movement. Something felt off while testing and it might have forced controller direction. The game was tested on a Oculus Rift S on the Kat Walk C2+

2.39 - Until You Fall
Rating (1-3)
⭐
Notes
I have not found the ideal movement orientation despite experimenting with all settings and resetting direction sensor.. Frequently walking forward suddenly sends me sideways or forty-five degrees off center. ~Ender’s VRcade
Scoring explanaion:
There is a large world to explore. It is a linear progression wave fighting game. It is not open world but you can comfortably walk from point a to point b. It is single speed walking except for “dash” movements with thumbstick. The game does support decoupled head-body movement when set to head oriented movement in-game. Tested on a HP Reverb G2 with Index Controllers on the Kat Walk C2 on Gateway Version 2.10.

2.42 - Wind Lands 2
Rating (1-3)
⭐⭐⭐
Notes
Walking includes a bit of continuing sliding motion as a default, but feels like natural inertia. You will not be walking primarily, its is intented for grappling. But there are plenty of movemetns to walk and the Kat Walk feels like a beautiful companion to the grappling in this game.

2.43 - Wraith The Oblivion
Rating (1-3)
⭐⭐
Notes
Set to HMD, run source to none, running isn’t very fast in this game
Scoring explanation:
The sprinting and walking were so similar in this game I couldn’t tell if pressing the joystick or linear locomotion was sprinting. The speed in this game feels realistic for walking, but not for running. The run speed is capped by the game. There is a large world to explore. The game does support decoupled head-body movement.
